Caregivers can support elderly patients at home by providing assistance with ADLs (such as bathing, dressing, and grooming), administering medications, preparing nutritious meals, facilitating mobility and exercise, managing medical appointments, providing companionship, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.

Signs that elderly patients may need additional support or intervention include changes in mobility or balance, difficulty performing ADLs independently, memory problems or confusion, unexplained weight loss, frequent falls or accidents, changes in mood or behavior, and worsening of chronic health conditions.
